Sometimes on a Holiday Monday or a Sunday, I like to walk
away the “stuff “cluttering up my body and my mind. To me walking and running have always been a
moving meditation, and on days when my schedule permits I make as much time for
that moving meditation as I like.
My faithful companion Lily and I headed out at 5:15, into
the early morning mist that was bordering on rain. You
could hear it softly in the trees and feel it lightly on your face … perfect!!!
We walked through years this morning, as always, shedding “stuff”
along the way … feeling lighter all the time.
At about the 6:45 mark we found ourselves at the Central High School Flats, the place where my accident during Track & Field practice started my Yoga practice, 47 years ago. That fateful long jump pit is still there. Lily and I couldn't resist. We did a Victory Lap around the track!!! Every night after school I ran 2 miles around that track … oops, showing my age … I ran 3.21 kilometers around that track.

Arrived home 7:20 with Lily … well deserved shower … much
lighter … on with my week!!!
